Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy applies to residents of Washington State and Nevada, and to anyone whose health data is collected in Washington. It explains how Agorex Inc., which runs AskAnXpert, handles "consumer health data" as those states' laws define it. Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else.
Health data we collect
We don't ask for health information. You may choose to share it, for example by describing a symptom, condition, medication or treatment to an Xpert, in a photo or file you attach, or in an answer about yourself. We collect it only from you, and only after you give permission in the app before your first message.
Why we use it
Only to generate the Xpert's reply and to keep your conversation so you can return to it. We never use it for advertising, never sell it, and never use it to train AI models.
People at Agorex look at it only when you ask us to for support; to investigate content reported to us or abuse of the Service; to deal with a security incident; to establish or defend legal claims; or when the law requires it.
Who receives it
- Our AI provider (one or more of Anthropic, OpenAI and Google), to generate the reply.
- Voyage AI, which receives the text you type into Xpert search, to find matching Xperts. Search text can include health terms.
- Supabase, which stores our database and files.
- Amazon Web Services, which runs our servers.
Each works for us under contract. We don't share health data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can:
- see the health data we hold about you, and get a list of who received it;
- delete it, by deleting the message, the conversation, or your account in the app, or by emailing us; we also ask our AI provider to delete any copies of files you attached;
- withdraw your permission, by deleting your account in the app or by emailing us. AskAnXpert does nothing without this permission, so withdrawing it means your account and your health data are deleted.
Email privacy@askanxpert.ai. We reply within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to that email; if your appeal is refused, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General or the Nevada Attorney General.
Nevada residents
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
We don't allow third parties to collect your health data over time or across other websites or apps.
